What Services Does Our Alpharetta Veterinarian Provide?

Our services include:

When Your Pet Needs to Visit the Veterinarian

While regular checkups are important, there are some signs that could indicate your pet needs to see the veterinarian sooner rather than later. Here are a few signs you need a fast pet diagnosis.

1. Loss of Appetite or Change in Eating Habits

During a routine checkup, your vet can assess your pet’s overall health. If your pet is showing signs of a decrease in appetite or any change in their eating habits, it may be a sign that something is wrong and they should visit the animal clinic.

2. Vomiting or Diarrhea

Vomiting and diarrhea are common signs that something is wrong. It can lead to dehydration and other serious issues if left untreated, so be sure to take your pet in for a checkup if you notice these symptoms. Our team provides the right pet medicine for your cat or dog.

3. Changes in Mobility or Behavior

If you notice any changes in your pet’s mobility or behavior, it could be an indication of pain or another underlying health issue. Or it could be a sign of something more serious. Either way, it’s best to bring your pet in for an evaluation.

4. Coughing or Sneezing

Since pets can’t tell us what’s wrong, it’s important to watch for signs that something might be off. Coughing or sneezing could be a sign of an upper respiratory infection or other pet health issues and should be treated by a veterinarian.

5. Increase in Urination or Thirst

If you notice your pet is drinking more water or urinating more, it could be an indication of an underlying medical issue. It’s best to get your pet checked out if you notice any changes in their water consumption or bathroom habits.

6. Skin Irritations or Lumps

During a routine checkup, your vet can look for any signs of skin irritations or lumps. If left untreated, these issues can be painful and lead to infection or other serious health problems.

7. Bad Breath

Bad breath is never a good sign and could indicate there is an underlying dental issue that needs attention. And since dental care is an important part of your pet’s overall health, it’s important to get them checked out if you notice their breath smells off.

8. Weight Loss

If your pet suddenly loses weight or has a noticeable change in their body shape, it’s important to bring them in for an evaluation. In some cases, weight loss can be a signal of an underlying animal health issue that needs animal treatment.
